Debra Duquette-Wallowa County Dance Center

Establised in 1997. Ongoing classes through Blue Mountain Community College in ballet, Graham and Limon based modern, jazz, tap, and African Dance, (see current BMCC schedule). Performances of The Nutcracker, A Day For Dancing with East Oregon Symphony, The Sleeping Beauty, and various recitals. Currently working on Bolero to be performed with Inland Musicians Northwest in May 2005. Joseph High School Thespian Troupe 4809

Wallowa County Library

The library serves two branch sites at Troy and Imnaha. In addition, we operate two free outreach programs. Training Wheels supports emergent literacy for children, birth through age 8. Wallowa County Museum

The Wallowa County Museum was established in 1976 as a bicentennial project to collect, preserve, and display historical items from Wallowa County representing the Nez Perce, the pioneers who settled the area, and their descendants. The Museum Board and its backers advocate historical and cultural awareness, interpretation of artifacts, education, and the promotion of a dialogue on changing times and cultures among citizens of the county. The Museum is the only publicly owned museum in the county.

Wallowa Band Nez Perce Trail Interpretive Center, Inc.

The WBNPTIC, Inc. owns 360 acres across the Wallowa River from the town of Wallowa, Oregon. We host annually the Tamkaliks Celebration, a powwow and friendship feast with the Joseph Band Nez Perce and local communities in the Wallowa Valley of northeastern Oregon. All are welcome to attend on the third full weekend of July. In September we host the Nez Perce Art in the Wallowa featuring Columbia Plateau Native Indian Art with dinner and auction, and entertainment from performing native artists. Paint and Palette Club

Wallowa Valley Music Alliance

The Wallowa Valley Music Alliance (WVMA) is a non-profit corporation, formed by a small group of local musicians and educators for the following purpose: To foster the growth of the music community in Wallowa County, Oregon, by connecting music educators with students, and encouraging a widening participation in music of all genres, with particular emphasis on youth education. Wallowa County Cultural Coalition

WCCC, P.O. Box 426, Joseph OR 97846 The Wallowa County Cultural Coalition(WCCC) promotes the arts, humanities, and heritage. In 2001, the Oregon Cultural Trust, under direction of the Oregon Legislature, asked all counties and confederated tribes to submit Cultural Plans to the State, so that grant money could be awarded to each coalition then distributed on the local level. The number one priority of the Wallowa County Cultural Plan is the creation of a flexible directory of the people, organizations, and events that make up the cultural landscape of the county.
